From my perspective, the advancement of technology first leads to a certain degree of disemployment. For instance, social media platforms have replaced partial reporters and mailmen, as users nowadays can check the news conveniently by lifting their fingers instead of watching the timely news reports, and there are hardly people writing letters anymore.
However, technology makes office work more efficient as well. For example, staff may ask artificial intelligence to make PowerPoints for their presentation so they may contribute their time to more meaningful work rather than spending it on inessential projects. In addition, the inventions of tools like calculators and computers have also speeded up their work and made their jobs easier.
In summary, though the development of technology results in some workers losing their jobs, it also leads to higher work efficiency.
